WA STATE SALES TAX

Through Midnight June 30, 2008, the product and shipping tax rate is each taxed at 8.4%, the combined rate for zipcode 98230, with the rate changing to the new July 1, 2008 law thereafter.

NOTICE

Per Washington State law, effective July 1, 2008 all order shipping to a WA address will be charged in the end the exact Combined Sales Tax Rate for the local region.

For the first time an order goes to a particular zipcode that is not calculated, the authorized charge for tax shall be 9.0% of the total for shipping and merchandise, but will be charged the exact correct amount, and the zipcode may be "remembered" in the shipping system for the next time, provided the rate does not go up, and then it will revert to the 9.0%, which is currently the maximum amount. The lowest amount that it could be is 7.0%.

This is to comply with the new Washington State Law, which makes it difficult for small business, but this business is going to comply up front, which is less expensive.

This means the amount calculated up front will only be correct if your local legal authorized rate is at that amount, but the actual charge will be less, if the location it is going to is lower than 9.0%

Shipping is considered a service and must be taxed by law for that amount, without regard to any customer protest.

This company must comply with the Washington State Revenue Service and hold onto the Sales Tax for you, which will then be paid to the Washington State Revenue Service.
